Take food to the stray dogs and their puppies that were abandoned under the bridge.

The Soi Dog Foundation was established in 2003 in Phuket. Thailand The goal is to help unsuspecting stray dogs and cats to be cared for. With more than 70,000 stray animals roaming the island and expanding the population at a rapid rate. This is due to the lack of knowledge and understanding of sterilization to control the population. The Soi Dog Foundation was established to address this problem with a humane and sustainable approach to managing the stray animal population and providing the necessary medical care. The Foundation’s operations are funded by people who believe in the same vision as the Foundation’s founder and continue to support the Foundation’s operations.

Our Operations

Working with stray animals consists of: Sterilization to terminate the rebirth of unwanted puppies and kittens. They must be born to live a short but full life full of suffering, including saving lives, getting vaccinated, Providing medical treatment, providing shelter and finding new homes for dogs and cats that cannot return to their original homes.

Soi Dog spays/neuter and vaccinates tens of thousands of street dogs and cats.

Each year, the Foundation has carried out neutering and vaccinating a large number of stray dogs and cats, including Phuket, Bangkok and other provinces throughout Thailand. Currently, there are more than one million neutered dogs, and the foundation runs a project in Bangkok, which is home to hundreds of thousands of stray dogs. In the future, the project in the capital will gradually open 10 mobile sterilization units and aims to complete the project within 7-10 years.

Sterilization is the only method that has proven to reduce the population of stray animals in a sustainable and humane way. Thanks to your support, Phuket has a stray animal population that can be controlled concretely. According to several global studies, when the stray animal population has been neutered more than 80% in the area, the population has been neutered. Animals living on the streets will gradually decrease in number naturally. It is predicted that in 2025, the number of stray animals on the roadside or on Phuket’s beaches will be very small.

In addition, the Foundation has also participated in animal welfare improvement campaigns throughout Asia and participated in helping animals that are difficult to suffer from natural disasters, such as the floods in southern Thailand in 2017. The Bangkok floods in 2011 and the tsunami in Asia in 2004.
